Final preparation

Time has come. We finished the obligatory medical and mandatory items check this morning. All is good.

After a quick breakfast and prior to lunch – they are serving so much delicious food here – I decided to do a quick warm up run. Just to setup the suspension system. Result, hilly and nice.

Race briefing is scheduled for 1800 hours today but all we need to know was already handed out in our race pack.

Next to the BIP we received a really nice road book – awesome idea. We also got other goodies, like socks…

Everyone is on edge, it’s fun to watch. I decided to have a glass of the red wine, to pro-actively address the upcoming pain.

Very pleasant wine. Goes well with the paella.

No shortage of food here.

Shootout to Manu Pastor and his absolute incredible team! You cannot beat the generosity extended by them. They all simply love what they do.

Thank you all! I’m sure we will appreciate it even more in the days to come.

I will keep you posted. Tomorrow will start at 500 hours with breakfast, followed by a transport to the start…

Dirk out, for today.
