Transfer to Start Line. (bus trip)
Approx.48km. +1,645m -2,045m.
The alarm woke me up at 5 in the morning. I had prepared everything last night, so I needed only 10 minutes to get ready. I couldn’t eat much for breakfast, there’s the nervousness in me that we all feel. Want to go.
They are driving us out to the start. It’s about a 1.5 hour drive, followed by a short hike in the woods (they didn’t tell us the exact position, it’s for us to find) and apparently a ceremony conducted by Celtic druids. I’m looking forward to that part.
The race should start at 8am, cut off time is 17:30 (5:30pm) – meaning if you don’t make it in by then you are out. That’s called DNF ( did not finish ).
I’ll see if I can join Sylvia and John for a while. The Dutch family has a proven running technique and they are fun.
Today is apparently very scenic and with 48 km on the shorter side 😉
Wish me luck…
